Job Description

This is a 6 months contract to start, with possibility of extension.
We are looking for an experienced, developer/ designer, to support the enterprise Configuration Management Database, and HPE Universal discovery tools. This tool works with HPE’s Service Manager and Asset Manager solutions, supporting the Service Desk, Incident and Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management and Asset Management.
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of team-oriented development and support experience in a service-oriented architecture environment, with direct experience working with the HPE Configuration Management solution and its integration to/ from the mentioned HPE ITSM tools. Must have superb knowledge relating to the integration flows to/ from the uCMDB. Includes experience designing sustainable customization and experience designing customized vs configured HPSM solutions.

Delivery Expectations:
• Provide application functional and technical support for HPE Universal Discovery and uCMDB, including support of integration / data flows involving HP’s uCMDB , Asset Manager and Service Manager
• Ensure complete discovery of network environment using a number of discovery protocols for devices including: Windows servers, Unix server, switches, firewalls, routers,
• Design, develop and test changes encompassing an integrated approach where all interactive components are considered
• Design and unit testing documentation and knowledge transfer to other supporting team members as required
• Able to address multiple complex issues simultaneously.
• Perform functional configuration, development and application support
• Participate in architectural and requirements discussion providing feedback, direction from a system perspective and work estimates
• Problem resolution and root cause identification
• Able to work flexible hours to support delivery and operational needs as required.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
• Participated in multiple large-scale numerous conversion projects, and designed strategies or methodologies for those projects
• Extensive experience with analyzing processes to understand how they meet objectives, across numerous projects and applications
• Skillful at describing and quantifying deviations from requirements. Has the ability to draw statistically valid conclusions from quantitative data
• Proactively partner with stakeholders and sponsors to review results specifying potential project or operational impacts
• Ability to articulate the application architecture for core applications, as well as conceptualize and describe high-level data flows between systems
• Can discuss the evolution and impact of technology support across all functions
• Has consulted on quality metrics, practices, guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Is an acknowledged as an expert in the theory and practice of quality management


 

Qualifications

• Have a demonstrated track record of working effectively with people, relationships and has considerable experience in management.
• This role requires demonstrated knowledge of the services that are being offered to the business community as well as an understanding of the skills that are needed to fulfill the demand.
• Outstanding collaboration skills – working in partnership with Project Managers, and other leaders
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
• Has strong knowledge of the people on the team, their skills and capabilities, career development goals
